Network Engineer, Tyne and Wear
Salary up to £25,000

Our client is one of the worlds leading manufacturing organisations in it's field. They require an experienced Network Engineer to provide support for the company's network and desktop software applications. Also to provide 1st line support to users fault finding, and printer & network problems.

Duties will include:
- To install and configure software and hardware
- To diagnose and rectify where possible, hardware and software faults
- To liaise with corporate IT function and 3rd party suppliers
- To co-ordinate helpdesk calls, responding accordingly
- To assist with the administration, support and maintenance of the companys IT systems

Essential criteria:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years experience in a similar network support role
- Confidence in PC desktop and printer support (hardware) and Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Windows 2003/2008 and Active Directory
- TCP/IP, LAN, WAN and email (Exchange / Outlook)

Desirable:
- Backup Exec V12
- McAfee (server) Anti-Virus Applications
- Knowledge of Sharepoint
- Experience of supporting Blackberry Server
- Virtual Server Environments (Hyper-V)
- Experience of telephone system support ie MITEL hardware of other VOIP system
