Systems Administrator, County Durham
Salary circa £28,000

Due to growth and expansion our client is seeking a Systems Administrator to join an existing and very busy team.

You will be required to:

- Support and troubleshoot the production, development, testing and back-office networks for the company
- Specify, install and manage network hardware.
- Monitor service performance and capacity and escalate areas of concern
- Provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for business critical systems in a rota arrangement with other team members.
- Manage the back-office systems for the company and for two other companies in the group

The successful candidate will have:

- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role
- TCP/IP network configuration
- Firewall and managed switch setup
- Windows Server installation and support, including Active Directory
- A good understanding of network security
- Ability to work with minimal supervision

Desirable (but not essential):

- Experience of working with public-facing, high-throughput real-time database systems
- Experience of working with high-availability database technologies.
- Experience of configuring and supporting SAN installations.

Salary circa £28,000
