Job Description:

Working for a well established engineering company based in Tyne & Wear as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

To provide engineering for all aspects of the design, manufacture, installation and operation of their products for the Oil and Gas Industry. Typically this includes performance of structural, fatique, thermal, dynamic and stress analyses of their products to in-house and industry standard guidelines, and production of associated reports, calculations and procedures. Additional activities include development of software and design tools, design, assessment and analysis of testing, and implementation of engineering recommendations.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have/be -

BEng and/or MEng Mechanical Engineering.

Mathcad and Autocad is essential.

FE software experience is also desirable.

Oil & Gas background is benefical but not essential.

Finite Element Analysis experience is desirable.

Experience in design, installation engineering/analysis, structural hand calculations and FEA using offshore lifting codes would be advantageous.
