Job Description:

Working for a well established engineering company based in Tyne & Wear as an Analysis Engineer.

To provide engineering for aspects of the design, manufacture, installation and operation of their products for the Oil and Gas industry. The focus of the role is product analysis which may typically include performance of structural, fatique, thermal, dynamic and stress analyses of their products to in-house and associated reports, calculations and procedures. Additional activities include development of analysis methods, software and design tools and their implementation within the Engineering Department.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have/be -

Degree qualified in an Engineering subject.

Significant experience of using finite element analysis software is essential.

This maybe substituted with extensive experience of specific analysis packages for example Orcaflex.

Experience in design, installation engineering/analysis is desirable.

Job Description:

Working for a well established engineering company based in Tyne & Wear as a Design Draughtsperson.

The role involves -

Provide support and service to other Departments and Group corporate organisation as detailed within the Service Request system.

Prepare design drawings for customer approval and detail approved design drawings for manufacture.

Advise and liase with design and production functions within the company when implementing recommendations.

Answer technical queries on all aspects of designs.

Participate in external and internal meetings.

Liase with outside customers/manufacturers.

Analyse and comment on customer requirements, specifications and contract documentation.

Outside work is occasionally required when providing assistance during manufacture or loadout.

Offsite may be required according to business needs.

Ideally the successful candidate will have/be -

Strong draughting experience.

Engineering and/or manufacturing background.

Offshore Industry experience is desirable.

Must have excellent Inventor experience.

Good communication and teamwork skills are desirable.

To support the R & D current product modification group. The role will involve working closely with the various functions within the company including Portfolio Management, Manufacturing and Quality with requests for product design improvements, customer returns, tender support and cost reductions.

Support and/or lead small to medium sized product modification projects from concept through to design and production release.

Identify and implement product design solutions to solve current product issues in manufacturing, material supply and at the customer.

Assist with cost reduction projects that require R & D input.

Provide R & D support including proto type development on customer specific tenders.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have/be -

A strong Design Engineering background with excellent Mechanical knowledge.

BEng in Mechanical Engineering.

Design function in medium to high volume electro/mechanical manufacturing environment.

Pro Engineer experience.

Experience in designing stamped, turned and cast metal parts.

Experience in designing plastic injection molded parts.

Experience in designing pneumatic fixtures and fittings.

Excellent problem solving skills, self motivation and team orientation.

Six Sigma and DFMA would be advantageous.

Job Description:

Working for a well established engineering company based in County Durham as a Test Operations Team Leader.

The role involves -

Delivering shift KPI’s (Safety, Data Quality, Productivity and Utilisation).

Coaching and developing the team to optimise performance.

Challenging engineering functions to deliver hardware, software and data on time to support test activity.

Resolving issues that have an impact on the team’s performance (ie identifying and fixing issues with equipment, processes and communication).

Engaging the team in improvement activity that will enhance productivity.

Conducting initial data analysis and deliveringquality results in agreed electronic format (s).

Using test data in "real-time" to re-assess test/resource priorities.

Setting up and running test instrumentation and equipment to ensure accurate, validated data is obtained.

Leading specific test and improvement projects to support Departmental goals.

Communicating current test status to the test team and between shifts.

Writing test schedules and publishing test reports.

The creation and development of work instructions and processes in line with corporate quality standards and HSE guidelines.

Trouble shooting and fault finding facility issues to maximise test cell uptime.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have/be -

Min HND in a related Engineering subject.

Knowledge of test and development environment/experience preferred.

Creative and have a data based approach to issue resolution.

Excellent communication skills and a mechanical aptitude with "hands-on" engineering capability.

The ability to lead and develop a small team is essential aswell as is the flexibility to work shift pattern which provides 24/7 cover.

Salary - £32,338 + Shift Allowance + Benefits
